Bopladsen har med to afbrydelser v\u00e6ret befolket i 4000 \u00e5r af tre kulturer, der alle var nomadiske j\u00e6gere. Hver sommer forlod de bopladsen og boede i telt.<\/p>\n<p>Omr\u00e5det i Sermermiut har altid v\u00e6ret meget vigtigt for lokale. Ogs\u00e5 i nutiden. Vi plejer at fejre Nationaldagen d. 21. juni, hvor der var mange aktiviteter i form af traditionelle opvisninger. Stedet har ogs\u00e5 v\u00e6ret rypejagtssted indtil for f\u00e5 \u00e5r tilbage.
